I am wondering if anyone is researching the BAKER surname in the Channel
Islands.

I have Bakers in Poole Dorset from 1748 with a Peregrine Baker and his
wife, Mary having children, bapt St James Poole.

This is just a long shot - as my BROCKS come from Guernsey, maybe the
BAKERS did too! They were yeoman.
