Hi Roger,

Yes, they can, I have an Apple Mac and regularly receive PC GEDCOM files.
Much depends on the software that originates the file and making sure the
correct procedure is used to import the GEDCOM file. I use PAF and Reunion
5, I would use Family Treemaker as well, but it won't load.

Procedure - Load Reunion, create new file with any name, click add data
later, got to File and Import, follow instructions and it should be ok.
(NB do NOT try to OPEN a GEDCOM file, it won't). I have had problems
though, trying to load my own PAF files as GEDCOMs into Reunion - now seem
ok.

Ask her to call me direct if problem continues, I don't want to clutter up
the forum with items of a specific nature.

regards
Peter
