I think it should be pointed out that the LDS centres do charge, in my
opinion, quite high rates for the privilege of consulting their records at
their libraries (in case anyone thinks it's free!). I ordered 10 of the
land registry *indices* which cost me 300 French francs (about GBP30) and
they took 3 months to arrive. Once you've found the references you have to
pay the same again and wait another three months for the actual land
registers. You can easily end up paying a fortune - I think an annual visit
to Guernsey is a much better idea Stephen!
