Hello, I am in need of some help from a local resident.
I have completely exhausted all of my options other than visiting Jersey,
and at this time is not possible. I am looking for the birth places of
Rebecca HAWKINS nee WHEELER born cir. 1815 in England (Somewhere) and her
husband John James HAWKINS b. cir. 1811 in Eng. (somewhere). They had their
first child Elizabeth in St Ouen's in 1840.

Both Rebecca and John are buried in St. Peter's. I have their death certs.
which does not include their birth places. In addition all other searches
through the resources held at the LDS have proven unfruitful in obtaining a
marriage place or birth place. I have checked the England civil registry's
for a marriage, searching from the 1st QTR of 1940 as that is when Elizabeth
was born back to the beginning in 1837.

I am assuming they either were married on Jersey because I can not find them
in the registry, or they were married before the 3rd QTR of 1837 in England
somewhere. This is where I need help.

Is it possible for to someone to check the parish registers at St Ouen's for
their marriage since that is where the 1st child was born. If this does not
prove to be helpful then check the parish register at St Peter's. Although
Rebecca was burried there, her death was registered at St. Helier's.

I would be most grateful for your help and surely willing to pay expenses
and more if need be.

Kind regards for your consideration,
Victoria Fisher
