My dear Judith,
1 The Nicolles you are speaking of are not in my line but they are in Bud
Guignon's <> and for sure they must interest Peter
Guilbert for the data base he launched on the Nicolles
<http://www.genealogy.guernsey.net>
2 The name DE LA RIE doesn't exist in France . Questioned a data base on
180 000 French names. But it might be a wrong spelling because there are
plenty of D E LA RUE ou Delrue everywhere since it means "of the street".
And I questioned the phone directory; there aren't any in St Brieuc but
there are some in Dinan, Le Moustoir...which are very near St Brieuc.
So the thing to do is to question this address
<http://www.caids.net.entraide/> which is sort of rootsweb. There
you enter the 22 which is the number of the"département" where St Brieux is
and there you 'll find names and e.mail addresses of people visiting
regularly the records of the département.
I did it for you and here is an address:
<> , try it , and if you have problems, there are three
solutions 1 you come here and I'll teach you French 2 you tell me and I'll
try to do the middle man 3 you pick up another name in the site.
First lesson : Bonne nuit Judith et à bientôt!
Jean-Marie
