Hi Chris,

I do not have much to offer about the GALLIE family (I am still
struggling with the
research myself), but I will tell you what little I know.....one of my
Great-Great-
Grandmothers was named Nancy Gallie. She was born in St. Helier,
Jersey
in 1828. She married Henry Shambrook in about 1850 and had five
children.
She died in the parish of St. Saviour, Jersey on 4th. August, 1911 at
the ripe
old age of 83 years. Maybe there is some connection with your
Grandfather,
was he a nephew or a great-nephew perhaps? I would like to think
so.
