I am a new subscriber to the list and am hoping that SKS will be able to
assist me in tracing the parents of one of my ancestors, Jo(h)nathon William
Smith. All that I know of him is that he was born in Alderney in 1818 and in
later years obtained his Mates certificate on 28th November 1851 in Bristol.
Sorry that the info is sketchy to say the least, but hope that someone may
be able to find something in local parish records. Thanks in advance.
