Hi Odessa,

That would be interesting since my grandfather "ran away to sea" at age 17
and landed in Halifax. He embarked from St. Helier. I am under the
impression he was in the merchant marine, working on a ship, or in a branch
of the Royal Navy. Have no idea which.
