Hi,
When in Jersey last I photographed some large stone bowls, presumably
granite bowls, which were on a farm once rented by a relation. I have since
forgotten the purpose of these bowls. They were quite large, maybe 18 inches
or more wide, with a flat base.
Can someone tell me what they are called and what they were used for?
On the same farm was a large stone grinding wheel in a large stone base, I
think it was used for crushing apples for apple cider.
What is the correct name and description for this?
Thanks
Michele Gayler
