Hi Colette,
Regarding the names from your family history, could the name you have
listed as GIEGUEL actually be GICQUEL? That is my Mother's maiden name,
and her Father's family came from around St. Brieuc, which is the
closest town to St. Carreuc. If so, please let me know more details so I
can check with any info I have,

Julie Sabin, in Jersey.

Subject: [CI] French roots.. GAUTIER/GUEGAN

I have traced my mother's family back to St. Carreuc, Cotes-du-Nord,
Brittany..(currently cotes d'Armor).. she was born in Jersey, CI in
1904.. her parents
died in 1913.. they were both from St. Carreuc.. Jean Louis Gautier and
Anne
Marie Guegan

I am currently viewing Family History microfilms from this village.. and

wondering if more families came to Channel Islands.. I currently have
births
1793-1815, marriages 1816-1881, deaths 1793-1834.. these are French
records with
an amazing amt. of info..

Names from my family: GUEGAN, GAUTIER, AMISSE/AMICE, TARDIVEL, HELLIO,
BLIVET/BELIVET, MOREL, MORIN, HINAUX/HINAULT, GIEGUEL, COUESSUREL,
LEHERANT, TALIBART

other associated names: DARCEL, AUBRY, COLUMBIER, COTILLARD, MEHEUX,
REUX,
TANGUY, ROUXEL

nearby towns are PLAINTEL and HENON

I have found some GUEGAN relatives and possible TARDIVEL connections..
from
Channel Is.. and would like to hear from anyone interested in this
research

regards from USA,
Colette Pirie
