Hi Margaret et al,



Last week I saw that this couple returned to Guernsey. Did their
descendants go back to Australia?

Lucy traveled out to Australia [ in 1853]on the same ship as my g g g
uncle Nicolas Renouf from St Sampsons. I have wondered if there was
any connection between the two Renouf families in Guernsey and later in
Australia?

Three of the other Renoufs who went to Australia also returned; Thomas
Winter Renouf and Henry Naftel Renouf as well as Elisabeth Marsh nee
Renouf.[ this last was neice of Nicolas above].

Was it unusual for so many to return to Guernsey?

Nicolas went back briefly when his first wife died and remarried before
returning and having many children in the Melbourne area.
