Vice Admiral Edward De Faye Renouf is mentioned in one of the Jersey
Biographies.
The other children of EB Renouf and Hannah Binet were Walter (daughter was
Lorna Mc Corkill, California), Ernest, Gerald, Majorie, Faye, and Mina.
There is a large De Faye memorial next to the Renouf grave at Mont a
l'Abbee. The Parish of St Helier Cemetries have some info on the the Renouf
graves, I think the last person in was the Jurat in 1972.
Jersey Archives may have more information on these families.
I have added some Ronez/St John's information onto my photographic page
St John's Cemetry (I hope to add some details to these graves)

The first person to pilot a boat into Ronez was also a J.J. Renouf, from
Sorel.

Catching up on list mail after having been offline since the end of May.
Edward Binet RENOUF was born 14 Sept 1862 and baptised in St Helier 1 Oct
1862,
the son of Thomas RENOUF master mariner and Hannah BINET daughter of
Edouard.
His wife was Lilian Mary DE FAYE. He died 14 Jul 1929.
Do you have death dates for Lilian DE FAYE and the two sons? I would love
to
know the details of the two sons buried in their grave - I have Fay (sic) b.
27.05.1887, Edward de Faye b.28.07.1888, Ernest circa 1893 and Gerald circa
1898 (who was buried in St Martin 11 Feb 1953 aged 54y).
