Dear fellow listers,

I am just beginning my search for my grandmother whom I have been told was of Cherokee descent. Her name was Emma Arthur, according to the information on my father's (William A. Malloy b. June 1892) baptismal record. Her husband was William E. Malloy/Maloy They lived in Desdemona, Tx when my father was born. Whether they stayed there? I don't know. My father was gone by the time I was old enough to ask questions. My mother, would only tell me that I was Irish and Cherokee. Any suggestions or help is deeply appreciated.
