I am on AOL and on a lot of lists, but use the "automatic AOL" and I have it
set to download mail every hour so that there is no big buildup on AOL, only
in my computer w/ 100s of piece of mail to read <G>. I have had not problem
with having anything bouncing or being unsubbed.
