Treva,
I agree whole heartedly. I've read every web site that this group has
online that can be found by a search engine. Spent most of last night doing
it. It has been said in posts here that secrecy is the Cherokee way. It is
not. All tribes have spiritual ceremony that are not published on a web
list. NO tribe has "secret rolls" passed on through a chief whose father is
"John Smith", and are not even available to look at except to a priveleged
few in their OWN tribe! One anthropologist has seen and dated them. Big
deal. This smacks to me of being very suspect and have tried to be patient
while reading all this. IF someone's name is found on this "roll". How
would you even know for sure, you can't see it. But they do have your
money. If one gives information in public on a list like this, it should be
upfront and verifiable. I don't think that's too much to ask. I never
trust a secondary source on genealogy and don't know a genealogist that
does. What good is a source if it can't be verified. April you've said
you've posted all you know. Then why post it?

Vicki, What information? All I have gotten is that they have rolls; but,
can't give any info. They are open for enrollment; but it costs $10 to get
any information. The names that I am hunting may or may not be on this
supposed rolls but it will cost $10 to find out. What kind of information
is
this?
I may be flaming; but, I want to look into this more. I don't want to hurt
anyone; but, I am so confused.
