Hi

My name is Katherine Lander. I live in Crewe, Cheshire and have done so all
my life. I teach at Bunbury Aldersey C.E. Primary School which was founded
over 400 years ago in 1694. It is the only primary school belonging to the
Haberdasher's Guild of London. It's history is documented in the book 'The
Haberdasher's Oldest School. A History of the Aldersey School Bunbury' by
Peter Rutter. ISBN 0-9522945-0-8

I have been researching my family history for over ten years. My main
interest is the line of my paternal Grandmother whose name was CREWE. I
have traced this line back from her through 7 generations of Yeomans and
farmers to the early 1700's Bunbury, Haughton areas. Although the
aristocratic family of 'Crewe' is well documented any info on the name
'Crewe/Crew' in Cheshire particulary South Cheshire and Cheshire/Staffs
border would be welcome.

Charlesworth - Crewe, Stockport areas 1800 onwards
Bona - Carmarthen 1800 onwards
Horton - Cheshire, Haslington area 1700/1800's
Hall - Cheshire, Brereton area 1700/1800's
Bate - Cheshire, Sandbach 1700's
Baddeley/Baddily - Cheshire, Sandbach 1700's & 1800's

Any information would be glady appreciated and I hope any info I have may
be of interest to you.
