Has anyone done any research into or on the Delves(-Broughton) Family (or
their Estates or Manor) of Doddington Hall, Cheshire?

I have an ancestor, William COBBE who held Walgherton Hall on a 3 lives
lease from the DELVES Estate (I think - if I interpret various Wills
correctly) which must have been established sometime before 1663. The
bearer of the third life, Bernard, renews it (I think, if I understand his
Widow, Mary's Will) between 1726 & 1745 from Sir Thomas DELVES, Baronet.
However the Will of the Widow of William COBBE (Elianor COBBE) was
contested for about 24 years which may mean that the lease was a problem.

I wondered whether anyone could help me find out more. I would very much
like to know when William COBBE, who married Elianor TREVIS in 1663, took
on the lease as it may help me trace his birthplace.

All suggestions gratefully received
