Hi,

Looking for any WHITEs connected with the stage, exhibitions or fairgrounds.

My gt.grandfather, Leonard John WHITE owned a waxworks with which he and hs
family travelled England - births, deaths and marriages all over the place.
He was born in Woolwich, in 1863 - married Laura GILL, born Stourbridge 1872,
in Barrow-in-Furness 1892, aand finally settled and died in Dudley
Worcestershire.

Leonard John's father was William Harold of who I know nothing except that he
was a comedian who married (presumably) Caroline HUTCHINGS. William had a
brother Leonard who also "trod the boards" as did his accendents. There was
possibly another brother, Joseph or he may have been Leonard John's brother.

Laura GILL was the daughter of William b Dudley Worcs 1843 and Dinah WEAVER.

I've been struggling with this line for so long that I'm begining to pull my
hair out by the roots and will soon be bald. Hope someone, somewhere can
please help.

Lydia BRETTELL is of a completely different line; she married my gt.gt.gt
grandfather William WILLMOTT at Harborne, Staffs in 1823. She gives her place
of birth as Belbroughton, Worcs, this was sometime after 1797 and died after
1861.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
