Hi, My name is Sue Brandis.
I am researching my great grandfather Thomas Pearson who was born at
Pownall Fee, Styal. He married Harriet Crout (probably in the 1860s and had
the following children that I know of
Hannah, Henry(Herbert Charles) Lavina and Dora.
Thomas Pearson lived at Oak Cottages in Styal and worked as a cotton
weaver/warper at the Quarry Bank Mill in Styal (these are now under
National Trust).
I have not yet come across anymore families with the name Crout from this
area.
Any information on Thomas or Harriet would be greatly appreciated. Thomas
Pearson was born in 1833.
