Donald,

I am afraid I got my Millstone public houses mixed up in my message to you. I
was unaware that there was once a Millstone alehouse in Frodsham itself. I
learned only today that there was a Mill Street here in Frodsham where the
Millstone once was. Some believe that the present Cheshire Cheese public
house was formally the Millstone.

The White Lion at Alvanley, a village close to Frodsham, had a Thomas and
Fanny WORTHINGTON as licencees sometime in the 1820s.

For your information The Golden Lion holds a prominent position in the village
centre with the Cheshire Cheese situated at the western end of the village on
the main A56 Chester Road. It may also be worth knowing that Market days at
Frodsham are on Thursdays.

Sorry for my mistake

Regards
Allan
