Nantwich is or was a market town in Cheshire, at one time a centre of the leather trade and a salt producer. Now it's a very attractive mainly dormitory town. It's about 24 miles south of Chester.

Subject: [CHESHIRE-L] NANTWICH

I received a message from Don Tomkinson that WETTENHALLE is an old Nantwich name. Could someone tell me where that would be . He said they owned a number of properties and I was told the family was quite well of and didn't approve of her marrying my Grandfather . We thought they might have moved to Australia but someone over there just did a lookup in the Marriage Witness Index and there where none there.
Thanks Coralynn in Quesnel BC Canada
