I am new on this list as I have just started trying to trace my WORTH family
from the Macclesfield area. In my attempt to do so I was able to look
through a number of books produced for the Chatham Society, and they are
really quite marvellous. I was looking at the index of a 3-volume set
called: Lancashire & Chester: Wills and Inventories from the ecclesiastical
court, Chester: edited by Rev. G.J. Piccope in 1861. The index indicated
that there was a will for some WORTHs in the 2nd volume (second portion).
I was quite excited until my search led me to believe that that particular
volume in the University Library here in Ottawa has unfortunately vanished.
This is most frustrating as obviously there were a number of WORTH people
mentioned in this will.

Does anyone have easy access to this book, and if so would they do a look-up
for me please. I will gladly pay for parking, photocopies, etc. or in
return
perhaps there is something I can look up for you at our National Archives
here in Ottawa, Canada (marriages in Quebec or Ontario, census-whole
country(not indexed), ship-lists, etc.)

The details for my look-up would be as follows:
WORTH, in portion 2 pages 176, 177. The following first names should be
mentioned: Edward, Francis, Jasper, Philip, Richard and Sewell.

Thanks a million for any help. I am also interested in hearing from anyone
also interested in the WORTH family.

Monica from Ottawa
