Good evening all,

Perhaps someone on the Cheshire list can help mw with my searches.

My ancestor John TIMBS lived in Altrincham for many years. He moved there
from Tipton Staffs in about 1878, and died there in1892, aged 68. In the
1881 Census he was living on Church Street. His professions were all
connected with horses - Saddler originally, then groom and coachman. Family
traditions say he worked at a large country house, but as usual details are
non-existant.

His wife, Elizabeth, was born DACE in Tipton, and her family also seem to
have moved to Altrincham at about the same time. Her father John DACE was a
farmer and horse dealer.

John & Elizabeth had a lot of children, (John Thomas, Sarah, Elizabeth,
Frances (Fanny), Arthur Leonard (my grand-dad), Ada, George Henry, Lucy,
Frederick & Jesse), and I would dearly love to contact any of their
descendants (although the family also says that some of them emigrated to
Tacoma in Washington State, USA at some time).

I would like to know if anyone has any connection with these families.

David Corless (born Salford, now living in Hampshire)
