Thanks to the many many people who replied to my phone book help request,
far too many to thank personally.

I have worked out that almost everybody in the UK is either ex-directory
(because of salespeople phoning at all hours) or have gone onto cable phone,
where there doesn't seem to be much of a directory enquiry service.

Looks like we will just have to keep phoning my husband's other brother,
somebody will be in sometime surely (!!!) or even resort to (gulp) snail
mail.
