I cannot comment on the Digests, as I have ever only briefly
subscribed to them on STS List, and that is about 15mths ago!!!

But a few thoughts on the other matters arising from your
email!!

Reference the posting of replies to questions appearing on other
lists - I have no objection- except to say that the email should
perhaps be prefaced by e.g. " saw this on Midmarch thought CHS
Listers would be interested in the reply " or something similar.
For those who cannot remember on which list the question was
asked, may I suggest you filter your email so each lists
messages are kept in a separate folder. Most email programs
have instructions for doing this in the Help Menu!! Also make
a folder into which you put messages you intend to reply to!!!

My only irritant is the people who belong to 6 or 7 lists and
post the same question to all therefore considerably
multiplying the amount of Mail received.
