Can I ask the same favour please. If anyone is visiting Birkenhead Central
Library would you be able to check the 1891 census for the following
reference:-
BURKETT Birkenhead 1891
RG12/2883 92b, 109a
I am looking for Albert Edward BURKETT, and his wife Ellen, or for his
father George BURKETT (wife as yet unknown). I am hoping for Albert, and
hoping it will say where he was born, as I am having trouble finding him.
His father was a commercial traveller, so he could be from anywhere. He was
married twice, both times in Birkenhead, but I do not know if he was born
there. The only Albert Edward BURKETT I have been able to find so far of
the right age (should be around 21 in 1891) was born in Shoreditch, but I am
reluctant to send for his certificate until I am sure it is him.
