UNDER Cheshire we find the following:
CHESHIRE CHESHER CHESHIR CHESSHIRE CHESSHYRE CHESSOR CHESSER
Are all derived from the following.
Richard de CESTERSIR 1219 Listed in Assize Rolls for York
Agnes CHESSYR 1442 Register of the Gild of Corpus Christi, York.
Nicholas CHESSHYRE 1575 - Suffolk Parish Registers Marriages.
The origins of the name are in County of CHESHIRE.

One of the proiblems (for me) is the various spelling variations
Chesser Chesure and of course the spelling errors I have lived
with all my life, ,
