Hello, I am new to the list and wondered if any of you might be able to help me with my research.

My primarily interest is in finding information about John INGHAM, an engineer, born about 1800 in Cheshire (perhaps Bredbury, near Stockport). He married Elizabeth (Betty) and had several children : James, Samuel, Henry, Edward, and Alfred (my 3rd gr. grandfather), who were all born / baptized in Denton, Lancashire, except for Samuel who was baptized in Ashoton-under-Lyne. I am not sure that I have all the children accounted for.

When Elizabeth died in 1833, John then married Mary HULME KNOTT in St. Mary's, Stockport, Cheshire on 15 Aug 1836. They had three sons: Samuel, Thomas, and William, who were born / baptized in Denton. I do have some names and dates for their children from census records and parish registers, but would love to contact anyone who may have more information about them or their descendants.

If you know anything about John INGHAM or his family, especially his birth or marriage to Elizabeth, please let me know. Thanks!
