Hi,
I'm new to this list and have just received my ggrandfather's birth certificate. His name is John Boyle, his parents are Samuel Boyle and Mary Ann Bowes. His birth date is 10 Jan. 1868. His address is 3 Cottage Street, Birkenhead. His father's occupation is given as Police Constable. Given this information, what in your experience would be the next step to take? Also, would anyone know given this address, what church records I might search? Are their any police records I might search for Samuel? Also is anyone familiar with the area of his birth?
I am new to British research so please be patient as I am willing to learn and share. Looking forward to hearing from anyone on this subject.
