Perhaps Listers could advise me over something that puzzles me.

If I send money to Ancestry.com I can buy a CDRom of old parish records,of for example, Cheshire, Derbyshire and I believe Warwickshire. These records are for births marriages and deaths. How have Ancestry managed to obtain records that we do not yet have available on CD in this country? I`m thinking in particular of the excellent CheshireBMD project to make available parish records prior to 1837. Could it be that Ancestry are making use of IGI and Vital records and charging us for it? Or are they offering a real service here?
