In Victorian Times, there was a watch/clockmaker in Northwich named: "Matt
Earlam" The shop was in Witton Street and eventually was taken over by T.D.
Cookson ( don't know if Cookson's are still there, but they were in the
1960's)
I'd be surprised if there wasn't a connection of that EARLAM & yourself.
By the way, the Sign outside the shop (a big clock) can be seen in many old
Photo's of Witton Street, Northwich
