Sarah -
Thank you for your reply. I'm not sure how the register is indexed or
if it
is indexed. My ggg-grandfather William BUTTERWORTH married Sarah Martin

MEADOWCROFT in St James, Gawsworth, I believe in June of 1840. I'm
trying to
locate any information pertaining to the MEADOWCROFT family. Perhaps
Sarah's
birth, or baptism date, or listings pertaining to the Meadowcroft family
such
as sisters, brothers, parents? I have found that usually a family stayed
with
the same church, and I thought if she was married there, perhaps there
are
other Meadowcroft family records in the register. I'm taking a guess
that
the MARTIN middle name may be her mothers maiden name, so there may be a

chance of a Martin marriage to a Meadowcroft in the register, just a
thought
on my part. If you would be so kind as to check for me I would
certainly
appreciate the help and info.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
Joannie
