To lister who asked about the LDS office in Macclesfield I have the following
info. I`m sorry if someone has given you the same information as I`m
behind in reading my mail. If so you know where the delete button is.
On www.mormon.org they state the following:
Family History Centers in Macclesfield, England

Macclesfield, Cheshire County, England

Note: These are not mailing addresses. Because of limited staff, Family
History Centers cannot respond to mail inquiries.

And then a friend who volunteers at one of the LDS centers in Ontario states:
It sounds as if you have done everything you can to find that address in
Macclesfield. I suspect that someone has entered a wrong phone number.
Perhaps the friend in Cheshire should phone the main site in the UK and ask
them to find out. I know they were supposed to open one in Barbados too -
but at the end of 3 months when our friend had to come back home, it still
hadn't opened. I think it depends on the Bishop of the actual STAKE - which
in this case would be somewhere in Macclesfield. Your friend should look in
the phone book and contact the nearest LDS church - NOT the number she has
been calling, as that is obviously wrong
Then the Secretary of the LDS center gave me a 1-800-537-5971 to call. I
will be calling them in Salt Lake City tomorrow about another matter, so if
you don`t get anywhere locally, please let me know and I`ll call them myself.
