Subject: [CHS] 1861 census: WARD & CREWE

Hi Christine,
It was me (I?) who replied about Ann WARD - in
connection with my CREWE ancestors. Silence meant
no action on my part. I am now back in London. Looking
for Ann in Chester in 1861 is still on my 'to-do' list. I should
get to the Family Record Centre and 1861 microfilm in the
next week or so - work and Tube strikes (today and next
week!!) permitting. I'll keep you posted on progress (if any).
A couple of incidental points:
(1) If I've lost a List e-mail like you did mine, I try to spot it
in the "Archive" section of the Rootsweb Cheshire List
main page.
(2) I noticed on CheshireBMD another CREWE-WARD
link. Of course neither family may be the 'right' line, but a
Peter CREWE married Harriet WARD in 1856-60 at
Chester St Mary's. So I'll be keeping a casual eye open
for them.
