I am sorry, I was in such a rush when I gave a brief mention about the Stockport MBC website,I forgot to give the address. Thanks to Carl for giving us the information.

I found the original information from the excellent local magazine called 'Stockport & District Heritage'. In it you will find articles about the history of Stockport and area, as well as about the people. Many readers write in with their memories, and I find it a fascinating read.

Hope I have not broken any rules by mentioning this magazine. It can be obtained at many news agents in the area, and also from Stockport Heritage Publications, 4 Garden Terrace, Stockport. SK6 7EU.
