Another great program is GED2WWW. It's fast, easy, free, and makes the web
page files from a GEDCOM so there is no program with proprietary software
formats. Using software such as NetObjects Fusion, Microsoft Frontpage,
etc. web pages with photos can be created and included on the CD. In
addition, quick and easy programs such as Irfanview or LView can take a
directory full of photos and create thumbnails of them all in one batch
process. It will then allow you to save them in a web page - with links to
the full-size images automatically created.

As for a slideshow - Microsoft Powerpoint could also do the job.
