Subject: [CHS] Parson Shrigley of Alderley and The Wizard Story

Does anyone know anything about the origins of the the story of The Wizard
of Alderley Edge, supposedly attributed to a John /Samuel Shrigley, Rector
of Alderley , mid 18th century? Did the family or the story have any
connections with The Isle of Man? Parson Shrigley died in 1776. Thanks for
any help, Regards, Lyn,
