Whilst away on holiday recently, I came across an old family bible in a secondhand bookshop. I photographed the first page.
It belonged to the WITTER family and states as follows:

John WITTERS born at Hale Lancashire on July 13th 1863

Died at 11 Lytham Road, 12am May 11th 1938

Wife: Maria WITTERS bornat Acton Bridge, Cheshire on December 8th 1866

Married at Hale Church Lancashire on June 13th 1889
