Hello Elizabeth , could not help seeing the bit on resin and recipies, the
North American Indians used to chew the natural resin extruded from the bark
of the Sitka Spruce Tree It was also chewed by the early white settlers to
that continent, then somebody called Wrigley discovered how to synthesis
it!! I doubt if the indians chewed it to be hipp! They probably took it for
its antiseptic qualities. I own a plantation of Sitka Spruce and tried it
once, I have to say its not for me!
