I have to write and tell you all that I am overwhelmed by the replies I have received from my enquiry. I have been trying to find this family for ages and had very little luck. This family is actually my brother-in-law Terry Quinn's great Grandparents and I am trying to do this for him as a gift. So old pcitures, maps etc. are very welcome as it helps it to become a story rather than just dates and names.

The Mulhollands also on the 1871 census are probably Ellen's family as I did find a copy of their son Bernard's birth certificate in Northwhich and got her maiden name from it. Funnily enough both families are in the 1881 census living next to each other in Bishop Auckland and I had wondered if it was just a coincidence. There were also a family of Quinn living next door who I have to check out. The only question I have is the daughter Mary's age as it says she is 11 but according to the 1881 census she should only have been 3. The family bible my brother-in-law has gives her date of birth as June 26,1867. Unfortunately the bible does not say where they were born.

So back to searching to see if I can find a marriage certificate telling me where in Ireland they got married.

Again to everyone who was kind enough to write to me I thank you very very much.
