Hi Steve
I see your interest in the surname Anderton - I don't know if this is any
connection, but nothing ventured, nothing gained!
My paternal grandfather was Charles Saunders who moved with his parents from
Nottingham about 1890 to Gorton, Lancs. His oldest sister, Sarah Saunders,
born in 1870, married a Joseph Anderton, born about 1870 in Speke
Lancashire. The marriage took place January 1891 in Pendleton, Lancs. and
Joseph was the son of Joseph Greenhalgh Anderton (b. abt 1845 in Liverpool)
and Margaret (?) born abt 1845 in Garston Lancs.
