This is only a guess but if Cannon E.C. Owen was the cannon for the area in
which the school stood, would Crockfords directory of Clergy have information
about where he was at the time.
I have never used Crockfords and so do not know what information is
contained in it but someone else on the list will probably know. It may even give the
details of any schools for which he was the chaplain.
