Can anyone help find my missing link?
I'm on the hunt for George Deakin again, who is continuing to elude me. I moved a small step forward today with the discovery of a copy of part of a business ledger held at the Salt Museum, but would love to find his place of residence.
If anyone has access to the 1871 census for the Wirral or an index of the same could you check to see if there is a DEAKIN family on the Wirral? Most likely Birkenhead or Oxton.
There would be either George & Ann Deakin both aged about 63, or Ann Deakin as a widow(with or without children) I'm particularly interested in trying to discover the place of birth of George.
