Hello Bernard
The 1851 census for Runcorn and Districts, Piece 2164, goes as far as
Appleton and Stockton Heath.
There are five GRESTY references.
On Folio 119 Schedule 77 Stockton Heath is:-
Thomas GRESTY, 55, Journeyman - - -, born Cheshire Acton. [as in Acton
Bridge? 1 mile from Crowton.]
** Mary, his wife, 44, born Great Budworth**
Sons Thomas 25, and John 17, born Stretton?
Daughter age 8 born Appleton
Mary - - - -, visitor, age 4 born Appleton.
