Yesterdays is a collection of some of the stories appearing in the
Ashton-under-Lyne Reporter 100 years ago. This week includes the churches'
opposition to the granting of music hall licenses because it encouraged
drinking; an escaped bull running amok; cruelty to a horse in Bardsley; an
Ashton accountant suspected of using clients' money to fund his gambling;
and alleged bogus tea agents in Dukinfield.
