Hi
I'm new to this list but I think some of you will have seen me on Lancsgen!!
My ancestors seem to occasionally stray over the border as it were so here I
am.
My Griffiths family was from Manchester but a fellow Lancsgen lister and
myself may connect but its a little confusing, Vic has an Elizabeth
Griffiths who married in Birkenhead in the 1860's, I'm wondering if she was
still in Birkenhead in 1871, I'm not sure if the area's surname indexed but
if it is would it be possible for someone to check for a Cunningham family
headed by a David, Elizabeth was according to the 81 census born Birkenhead
but this may not be correct, she was by then widowed and in chorlton.
I'm also trying tohelp a friend out in Australia [Lee] who's researching the
name Tournoff, now, john was in Birkenhead in 1876, 1881 and so on, we're
wondering if he was there in 1871 also, my question is, again, if its
indexed could someone please look for him and family for my friend. The
name may be mis-spelled, John was born in Manchester around 1848.
Elizabeth mentioned above will have been born around 1846
Thanks for any help
