Hello Allen. I have an interest in the WEBB surname. We may have been in
touch some time ago I am not sure. My interest is that my great @ 4
grandfather one Francis Lake, born about 1751 (but I`m not sure where)
married a Miss Sydney Webb, a spinster, by licence at Chester St Peter on
18th January 1780. Despite a very long search over many years I have been
quite unable to trace his birth for certain, although it may have been in
Devon. I have also tried to trace the birth/parents of Sydney Webb again
without any success. I am a member of the Webb ONO and have written an
article in "The Weaver" again without any success. So if you come accross a
Sydney Webb born 1750/1770 now or in the future please bear my interest in
mind.
