I have a printed copy of the 1841 surname/placename index for the Northwich
area. It was published by the Northwich Group of FHSC in 1996.
It does warn that the microfilmed returns for Goostrey cum Barnshaw are
almost entirely illegible, so are not included.
The index is a credit to the transcribers, I have seen the films and used
the index and can only marvel at the accuracy.
