...or it could be to do with software: I was surprised, when doing a job at
work using a spreadsheet to discover that "-" corrupted the whole darned
thing, so you were forced to use zero! No, I was not even vaguely in a mind
to try and sort it out...and suspect that if a system is geared to be
numerical, then it demands a numerical quantity and nothing else.
