My Shelmerdine family have disappeared after the 1851 Census!

In 1851 JAMES SHELMERDINE aged 47yrs was living with his wife ELIZABETH aged
31yrs and daughter ELLEN aged 17yrs at The Greyhound, Adswood, Cheadle
Moseley, Cheshire. He was also a Publican residing there in 1846.
I cannot find an entry for his death or any further references to either him
or his family after 1851.

Any help in tracing the family would be greatly appreciated.
